The public transport in the municipalities of Chisinau and Bălți will not be available this Saturday, Sunday and next Monday and next weekend, on April 25 and 26. A decision to this effect was taken by the Commission for Exceptional Situations, IPN reports.

Prime Minister Ion Chicu said the measure to restrict the movement of public transport was taken in a move to protect the citizens from interaction with infected persons.

The official called on the population to remain vigilant and not to go on visits to relatives and friends on Easter this year and stay at home. “This year we should observe Easter in the closest family circle. Please, don’t visit your parents and relatives. Don’t expose them to risks,” he stated.
