The New Year's Eve festivities will begin in the Great National Assembly Square at 6.00 PM. Local musicians as well as a special guest from Romania will provide the hoiday entertainment. This year, the government allocated 600,000 lei for the festivity, IPN reports.

Hosts Sergiu Beznitchi and Evelina Virlan will kick off the event at 6.00 PM with a greeting message, followed by a show for children performed by the ensembles DoReMi Show and Lollipops.

At 7 PM, young musicians like Stefan Roscovan, Diana Brescan, Anna Gulko, Vlad Ciobanu, In Quadro will take the stage.

After 8 PM, the public will enjoy the music of Olpions, Brio Sonores, Concertino Band, the folkloric ensemble “Plaiesii” and the carols of Nicolae Gribincea.

At 9 PM, the program continues with a concert by Vali Boghean Band, followed by a comedy sketch performed by the actors of the Satiricus Theater.

Beginning at 10 PM, the stage will belong to local stars Aura, Vitalie Dani, Nelly Ciobanu, Adrian Ursu, Geta Burlacu, Nicoleta Gavrilita, Costi Burlacu, Corina Tepes, the folkloric ensemble “Crenguta de Iedera” and Maria Iliut. The folkloric ensemble “Mostenitorii” led by Valeriu Chiper will perform traditional New Year's bidding songs (“uraturi”).

A comedy performance by Petru Hadarca and Vitalie Rusu is scheduled for 23.24, followed by the folkloric music and dance ensemble “Fluieras”.

The beginning of the New Year will be marked at 00.00 with fireworks and afterwards the stage will be taken by Chisinau Youth Orchestra. The performance of Andreea Banica, the special guest from Romania, will begin at 1 AM. The end of the festivity is scheduled for 2 AM.
