The service members, the recipients of old-age and disability pensions who took part in fighting in peacetime will simultaneously receive the pension bonus of 135 lei and the monthly state allowance of 500 lei, IPN reports.
According to the National House of Social Insurance, the salary bonus of 135 lei is provided automatically, based on the documents annexed to the retirement documents. The state monthly allowance is provided based on an application and the required documents submitted to the local house of social insurance.
Since the start of 2021, a number of categories of veterans will receive higher monthly state allowances. Among these are the persons with disabilities as a result of fighting and of the Chernobyl cleanup who will receive monthly allowances raised by 100 lei. The allowance for persons who were awarded orders and medals for assiduous work and military service behind the front during World War II was raised to 275 lei a month.
The monthly state allowance for persons involved by the local authorities in the collection of munitions and military equipment, demining of the territory and Word War II explosives will be 700 lei.
