Bulgaria supports the development of its national community in the Republic of Moldova, focused on preserving and developing the Bulgarian spirit and popularizing Bulgarian culture. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria, through the embassy in Chisinau, announced the selection of project proposals for whose implementation grants will be awarded under the 2024 Program of Support for Bulgarian Community Organizations in the Republic of Moldova, Bulgarian National Radio reported, being quoted by IPN.
The program is open to organizations of the Bulgarian community in the Republic of Moldova, registered according to the local legislation. The maximum value of a project cannot exceed BGN 50,000.
The applicants can register by filling in standard forms that the beneficiaries can request electronically through press_edu_cult@mtc.md.
The form will be completed in Bulgarian. The deadline for collecting project proposals is June 19, 2024. This and other relevant information is available on the Facebook page of the embassy in Chisinau.
The action is part of the Memorandum on the financing by the Bulgarian side of a number of development projects in the southern region of the Republic of Moldova, which was signed last December. Attending the event, Minister of Energy Victor Parlico said that the grant projects refer to the fields of energy, environment, education, public information. “Bulgaria helps us to develop the southern region of the country, especially the cities and villages inhabited mainly by ethnic Bulgarians, so that they feel the benefits of integration into the EU, which includes Bulgaria and which the Republic of Moldova aspires to join,” Victor Parlicov pointed out. For his part, Minister of Education and Research Dan Perciun noted that a series of projects aim to improve the quality of education in the southern region of the country by providing essential technical equipment, including laptops and interactive boards in schools, and purchasing school buses.
