Two men sold tickets for England game at 5 times the price
Several football fans willing to go to the Moldova vs England match on September 7 bought tickets from two men who sold them at 5 times the official price, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to a MoI press release, the police arrested a 46-year-old man who sold the tickets at 350 lei near the Zimbru stadium, and two hours later the police identified another illegal ticket vendor in the same area, aged 29.
According to the police, the men bought a large number of tickets at 70 lei a piece. After all the ticket booths had sold out everything, the men started selling the previously bought tickets at an inflated price. Each of the men had 10 tickets on them and the police are to establish the exact number of the tickets sold.
Administrative proceedings were started against the offenders, who face fines of 700 lei and confiscation of the tickets and proceeds.
