World full of mystery at microcosmic exhibition of flora, fauna and women

A gracious world full of mystery was presented at the exhibition of photographs and sculpture “Microcosmos” held at the gallery of Shopping MallDova Center. Photographer Vitalie Boluchevskii rendered the flora and fauna of the microcosm, while plastic artist Andrei Dohotaru displayed silhouettes of sculptured women, Info-Prim Neo reports. Vitalie Boluchevskii said he was enchanted by the microcosm and animalistic genre and has professionally dealt with microcosmic photography for four years. He stressed he likes taking photos of insects and flowers. “We fail to see very many details that surround us,” he said. The photographer said this world is full of mystery and is very interesting. “I find often that the gestures of the insects are very much like those of the humans. It is very interesting to photograph flowers as they show all the beauty given by nature.” Sculptor Andrei Dohotaru said he is impressed by the female silhouettes and women in general. “I like modern sculpture. The women in my sculptures are stylized. I represent them as I feel and as I like,” he said. The artist also said that he intends to sculpture in color. “I have a number of ideas, but have not yet decided which one to put into practice.” Ion Morarescu, a member of the Union of Plastic Artists, said the works are unusually beautiful, each one in their own way. “I think these works will have a great influence on the visitors of the exhibition as they express a nice, attractive view,” he said. Not long ago, Vitalie Boluchevskii was awarded the title Environmental Photographer of the Year 2009 at the international contest EPOTY, which focuses on the most recent trends in environment protection. The exhibition will continue until December 20, 2009.
