The 21st edition of the national exhibition “Made in Moldova”, with a new stylistic concept, opens on January 31, being staged under the patronage of the Government. Titled “At Home. Authentic. Autochthonous”, the exhibition at the Moldexpo Exhibition Center will involve 350 national companies that will wait for visitors in two pavilions. The organizers estimate that the event will attract about 60,000 local and foreign visitors. Italy is the country invited to this year’s event, IPN reports.
Sergiu Harea, president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Moldova, told a press conference that Pavilion No. 2 will have 15 common stands of district councils. Companies will exhibit clothing and footwear, furniture, cosmetics and other products there. The Central Pavilion will house agri-food products. Forty-five companies will take part in the exhibition for the first time. “We see that the exhibition “Made in Moldova” attracts an increasing number of new companies that are eager to promote their products, to make known the new products on the local market to the domestic consumer,” stated Sergiu Harea.
Outside the exhibition spaces, tents were put up for handicraft companies and honey producers. This year, 120 applicant companies could not participate in the exhibition because Pavilion No. 3 is under repair, noted Sergiu Harea.
Their participation in the event was confirmed by delegations from Romania, Poland, Italy, France, North Macedonia, Turkey, China. As last year, Italy is the guest country. Italian producers that invested in Moldova will have a collective stand.
Ana Sochirca, head of the entrepreneurial training section at the Organization for Entrepreneurship Development (ODA), said that this year too, ODA will support the organizers and participants in the exhibition by partially reimbursing the incurred costs. Requests for reimbursement are made exclusively online, on the organization’s website. Documents in the original can be submitted during 30 working days after the exhibition is over.
The exhibition will traditionally host an extensive business program within which the industrial development policy of the Republic of Moldova will be debated. Topics related to dual education, family-friendly policies at companies, development of enterprises in rural areas, participation in public procurement and others will be raised.
The exhibition will be open until February 4. Free transport to Moldexpo will be available during the event.
