72 local companies will benefit from grants totaling 41 million lei. The money is provided by the government, the European Union and the World Bank through the Entrepreneurship Development Organization, IPN reports.
According to a statement issued by the ODA, the Moldovan government will financially support 51 companies with a total amount of 31.8 million lei, 19 companies will benefit from funds from the European Union totaling 9.6 million lei, and the World Bank is providing funding of one million lei for two other companies.
"The state contributes by implementing reforms aimed at facilitating them to achieve outstanding results. We are committed to continue supporting you to build together a better and more prosperous future for all", said the Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization, Dumitru Alaiba.
The largest investments are allocated to the industrial sector, with around 50% of the beneficiaries coming from this sector. Another 30% of entrepreneurs will invest in the acquisition of technical means for the development of the service sector, such as professional, scientific, technical, accommodation, catering and education. Meanwhile, 20% of the beneficiaries in the agricultural sector will be targeted with funds for business re-technology and greening.
Thus, the total amount of investment in the national economy exceeds 89 million lei.
The grants are distributed through a number of programs managed by ODA: the Program for the Support of Women Entrepreneurship, the Program for the Re-engineering and Energy Efficiency of Small and Medium Enterprises, the "PARE 1+2" Program, the Program for the Digital Transformation of SMEs, the Program for the Greening of Small and Medium Enterprises, the Program for the Increase of Export Competitiveness and Internationalization of SMEs, as well as the Program for the Support of Small Producers.
