Diesel fuel from Romania reached its destination. Vladimir Bolea: Bureaucracy slowed down process
It was bureaucracy that slowed down the process of receiving the diesel fuel granted as humanitarian aid by the Government of Romania, said Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry of Moldova Vladimir Bolea. According to him, the Material Reserves Agency staged four tender contests for receiving, transporting and storing the diesel fuel, but no economic agent participated in these. The minister assured that the bureaucratic obstacles were overcome and the farmers started to receive the promised fuel.

Transit of Ukrainian agricultural production on Moldovan roads to diminish
Fewer heavy trucks with agricultural production from Ukraine will circulate on Moldovan roads. In Dornesti, Suceava, there will be tests – and immediately after them exploitation – for the largest transshipment terminal for agricultural products in Europe, following an investment of €10 million, IPN reports, with reference to Forbes Romania.
Maib and EIB Global sign loan agreement
Maib today signed an agreement with the European Investment Bank (EIB Global) for a financial package that includes a senior loan and a risk-sharing instrument, backed by the European Union. The loan amount is €50 million and is repayable over up to 10 years. It will increase access to finance and promote green investment, providing Moldovan small and medium-sized enterprises with favourable conditions, such as extended terms, competitive interest rates, etc. The capped partial additional portfolio guarantee, backed by the EU’s European Fund for Sustainable Development (EFSD), extends EIB Global support to Moldova’s private sector, facilitating an extra loan of €44 million for SMEs.
Residential sector could receive grants and allowances for energy efficiency
Owners of individual houses and associations of condominium owners could get grants and allowances to make energy consumption more efficient. The Cabinet approved the financing program Moldova Residential Energy Efficiency Fund.

The governor of the National Bank of Moldova (NBM) Anca Dragu said that the Stock Exchange in Chisinau has good chances for development and Moldova can also be a market of interest for foreign companies that are already in Romania. More natural gas was consumed this March than last March
The volume of natural gas consumed this March was 101.5 million cubic meters, which is by about 56.81% more compared to the same month of 2023. Compared to February 2024, the figure decreased by 6.6 million cubic meters or by about 6.1%.

CET-Nord purchased natural gas on stock exchange for first time

Russian cards “Mir” cannot be physically used on Moldova’s territory, NBM
The use of cards with the Russian payment system “Mir” is not possible in the Republic of Moldova, while Russia’s Promsvyazibank, with which Gagauzia’s Bashkan signed a cooperation agreement, didn’t submit applications for authorization or licensing. The clarification was made by the National Bank of Moldova (NBM) for RFE/RL’s Moldovan Service.
