If each citizen spends 200 lei a month on local products, 6 billion lei will gather in the economy instead of imported products. If we buy local production, we develop the country, said Deputy Prime Minister Dumitru Alaiba, Minister of Economic Development and Digitization, IPN reports.
The official called on the citizens to purchase local products during the holidays and not only instead of imported products. He noted that when 2.5 million citizens choose locally, they contribute an additional 1% to GDP growth.
“By choosing national products, we contribute to local economic development, support the entrepreneurs and open up new opportunities. From foods to non-perishable products, I urge everyone to choose locally,” said Dumitru Alaiba.
The local products can be identified by the mention “Made in Moldova” and by the bar code 484.
