The electoral period for the new local elections that will be held on November 17 in seven localities has started. The Central Election Commission said that the main actions during the electoral period include the setting up and organization of the work of lower electoral bodies, registration of candidates for mayor, establishment and organization of polling stations. During this period, the voter lists will be updated, voters will be informed and electoral officials will be trained.

The electoral period will end with the confirmation of the election results and the validation of the mayoral seats.

On November 17, new local mayoral elections will take place in Căușeni town of Căușeni district, Iliciovca commune of Florești district, Boșcana commune of Criuleni district, Arionești village of Donduseni district, Antonesti commune of Cantemir district, Clocușna village of Ocnița district, and Popeștii de Jos village of Drochia district.
