In the case of expropriation of land, the amount of compensation will be equivalent to the market value of the land, and public auctions will be introduced for leasing state-owned land. A number of acts needed to implement the new Land Code were amended today by the government, IPN reports.
According to the new provisions, the procedures for the sale-purchase of small agricultural land with multi-annual plantations and an area of up to 0.25 hectares will be simplified. In this case, notarization will no longer be required, but only a confirmatory act issued by the local public authority.
At the same time, local councils will decide to classify irrigated or desiccated land as non-irrigated. At the same time, it will be allowed to carry out maintenance work on pastures and meadows from the sums paid annually by tenants, under the supervision of local authorities.
The new Land Code will enter into force on March 7, 2025.
