The list of economic agents that will use cash and control equipment connected to the Automated Information System ”Electronic Sales Monitoring” (ESM) will be extended. The decision covers pawnshops and also enterprises and companies in which the state owns a majority shareholding, IPN reports.

The State Tax Service said that it goes to pawnshops that fall under the Law on the regime of precious metals and precious stones, which will start to use such equipment in July, as will state-owned enterprises and commercial organizations with majority state capital, except for the state-run enterprise “Poșta Moldovei” (Moldova’s Post Office).

The extended list also includes large taxpayers (legal entities), which obtained the status of large taxpayer after the Decision of the Interdepartmental Commission for Cash and Control Equipment, with a connection period of six months from the date of publication in the Official Gazette, as well as taxpayers who will obtain the status of large taxpayer, with a connection period of six months from the day the status of large taxpayers is granted.
