The Republic of Moldova has adopted modern procedures for analyzing wine products so that the wine sector meets the requirements of the global market and quality and safety of wine products is guaranteed. The draft decision approved by the Cabinet on Wednesday refers to methods of analysis for determining the physical and chemical characteristics of wine products. The outdated technical regulations are repealed and updated procedures are introduced, IPN reports.

“The wine sector of the Republic of Moldova is internationally recognized for the quality and diversity of its wines. However, it requires continuous improvements in terms of production and control standards. By adopting this document, we reaffirm our commitment to align our products with the highest international standards,” said Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Bolea, Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, the implementation of the decision will bring multiple benefits, including improvement of the quality and safety of wine products offered to consumers and strengthening of the position of Moldovan wines on the international market.
