The state company Moldelectrica has started disposing of toxic waste stored for many years at its territorial offices. This week, 32 tonnes of rubber waste were taken by an authorized operator to be processed in a pyrolysis facility.

The company states that the pyrolysis process will allow the transformation of this waste into valuable resources. Part of the tires will be used to produce playground surfacing, thus contributing to safer playgrounds. The other part will be used to produce fuel.

The total value of the contract concluded for the evacuation and processing of this waste is 130 thousand lei, the contract being part of the procedure for the purchase of services for the evacuation of toxic waste in a total amount of 4.7 million lei.
