The administration of Moldovagaz, together with representatives of gas transmission and distribution companies that form part of the group, discussed measures to optimize the consumption of energy resources and ensure the uninterrupted supply of gas amidst the state of emergency declared in the energy sector, it is said on the official website of Moldovagaz.
Among the solutions discussed is equipping the critical gas infrastructure with alternative sources of electricity, especially generators, to prevent possible power outages, IPN reports.
Vadim Ceban, acting chairman of the Board of Directors of JSC Moldovagaz, urged to mobilize all resources to ensure the continuity of the company's activities and to efficiently respond to the requirements of the central and local authorities.
The agenda of the meeting also included the organization of the internal activities of the companies that form part of Moldovagaz group with the aim of ensuring a constant supply of gas to consumers, even in extreme conditions, in accordance with the legislation and the directives of the Commission for Emergency Situations, says the press release of Moldovagaz.
The measures were agreed in the context of the requirements for the energy sector during the state of emergency, with the main purpose of protecting vital infrastructure and maintaining a continuous supply of gas in all the served regions, said the company's administration.
