The Moldovans consumed less gas this March compared to the same period last year. According to Moldovagaz, the monthly consumed volume was 93.4 million cubic meters, 7.9% lower compared to March 2024. At the same time, compared to February this year, the figure decreased by 37.2 percent, IPN reports.

Until March 31, household consumers paid 93.6% of the invoiced amounts, 1.1% down compared to the same period last year.

In the case of non-household consumers, the payments constituted 97.7%, by 0.9 percentage points more compared to 2024. Enterprises operating in the energy and heating sectors paid their bills in full, just like last year.

During the reference period, 808 consumption units were disconnected from the distribution network. The debts of their owners came to about 4 million lei.

According to Moldovagaz’s data, the level of payments for the volume of gas supplied by March 31 was 96.8%, by 0.4 percentage points less compared to 2024. The amount was 3.98 billion lei, taking into account the revision of charges.
