The Republic of Moldova's quota subscription at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) was increased by US$114 million. A draft law in this regard was adopted by Parliament on Thursday, IPN reports.
The Republic of Moldova's IMF quota subscription grew from 172.5 million Special Drawing Rights (SDRs) to 258.8 million SDRs.
According to the authorities, this will help strengthen the country's financial position within the IMF and to increase the available volume of financial assistance that the Republic of Moldova can benefit from.
The draft law on the increase of Moldova's IMF quota subscription was given a second reading and passed by the votes of 56 MPs.
