Individuals who have deposited up to 50 thousand lei at the commercial bank Universalbank, which is currently undergoing liquidation, will benefit from a new installment of payments, the third in a row, the National Bank of Moldova said in a press release. The payments became possible after the bank gathered funds from selling its assets. The payments made up to this moment have completely returned the bank’s debt towards 81.7% of its clients with deposits larger than 6,000 lei. The payments add up to 19.9 mil lei. The pending payments sum up to 26.9 million lei for a total of 65 clients. Since the license revocation and up to this date, every depositor has had the right to withdraw from their accounts up to 106,000 lei (including the reserve requirements).
