The National Bank of Moldova is staging the second edition of the "Career Week at the NBM" during November 18-22. It is an event dedicated to those who want to build a career in the financial and banking sector, IPN reports.
The event brings together students, graduates and professionals, giving them the opportunity to explore various areas of activity of the central bank and learn directly from experts.
The "Career Week" takes place at the headquarters of the NBM and is organized jointly with a number of higher education institutions - the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova (ASEM), the Moldova State University (USM), the Technical University of Moldova (UTM), "A. Russo" State University of Balti and "B.P. Hașdeu" State University of Cahul.
The program of the meeting includes online sessions, interactive workshops, learning sessions and presentations, held by NBM employees from various departments - banking supervision, monetary policy, payment systems and accounting. There will also be staged a special guidance session for those who want to better understand how they can develop a career at the National Bank of Moldova.
The official opening of the event is scheduled for November 19 and will involve NBM governor Anca Dragu. On Tuesday, the participants will take part in six thematic workshops. In the coming days, teams of the central bank will visit the partner universities and the week will end with an evaluation and conclusions session.
In a recent interview, the deputy head of the Strategy, Organization and Human Resources Department of the NBM Olesea Cobzari underlined the positive impact of the Career Week at the National Bank. According to Cobzari, the first edition, organized last year, had significant results: the number of students who applied for internships at the NBM tripled and the number of CVs submitted for positions requiring experience increased considerably.
"Although these events do not have an immediate impact, they represent a long-term investment. Participants have the opportunity to get to know the National Bank and apply for internship opportunities, which gives them a real chance to get a job later," explained Olesea Cobzari.
The NBM offers a unique professional experience, with national impact and opportunities for personal development. Young people who want to start a career in the financial and banking sector will understand, by participating in these workshops, if the National Bank is the place where they want to build a career. Also, NBM employees who started their career as interns will share their experiences, highlighting the benefits of a career in an institution of national importance.
All those interested are invited to participate in the "Career Week at the NBM" and to take advantage of the learning and professional development opportunities. Additional information about the event is available on the official website of the NBM.
