The owners of casinos will pay a double tax for maintaining gambling tables. A bill to this effect was passed by the legislature on February 25, Info-Prim Neo reports. The MPs decided that the tax for keeping a gambling table will be raised from 180,000 to 360,000 lei. The commission on social protection, health and family proposed increasing the tax to 720,000 lei, but its proposal was not accepted. The competent bodies will issue licenses for up to six gambling tables in a casino.
