At the same time, according to the NBS, in January-September 2024, GDP amounted to 233.1 billion lei, current market prices, up by 0.6% compared with the corresponding period of 2023.
The negative impact on GDP was mainly agriculture, forestry and fishing, with a share of 14.4% in GDP formation and a decrease in GVA by 16.6%, wholesale and retail trade; maintenance and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles with a share of 16.8% in GDP formation and a decrease in GVA by 5.2%, At the same time, we are also talking about real estate transactions, production and supply of electricity and heat, gas, hot water and air conditioning and net taxes on products.
The construction sector in particular contributed to GDP growth, with a 7.1% share in GDP formation and an 8.3% increase in GVA in these activities. Financial activities also contributed with a 3.5% share in GDP formation and an 8.3% increase in GVA in these activities.
