Ukrainian airline will operate flights from Chisinau

The airline SkyUp Airlines announces the opening of its operational base in Chisinau, where two Airbus A320 aircraft will be assigned. Starting with the 2025 summer season, new direct flights will be launched between Chisinau and cities in France, Portugal, Greece, Greece, Cyprus and Spain, IPN reports.

According to a press release of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development, SkyUp will operate routes to:

France: Chisinau ↔ Paris Beauvais, from April 18, Mondays and Fridays;
Greece: Chisinau ↔ Heraklion, from April 19, Wednesdays and Saturdays, with the possibility to extend to four flights per week;
Greece: Chisinau ↔ Thessaloniki from Tuesday, May 20;
Cyprus: Chisinau ↔ Larnaca, from April 17, Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.

Flights will also be operated to:

Portugal: Chisinau ↔ Lisbon, from April 18, Friday;
Spain: Chisinau ↔ Alicante, from May 19, Monday and Friday;
Spain: Chisinau ↔ Barcelona, from April 23, Monday, Wednesday and Saturday;
Spain: Chisinau ↔ Palma de Mallorca, from May 24, Wednesday and Saturday.

SkyUp Airlines is an international brand of Ukrainian origin, which started its operations in Ukraine in 2018. Since the outbreak of war, the company has focused on ACMI (air leasing) and charter flights, actively expanding its presence in Europe. In 2023, SkyUp obtained certification in the Republic of Malta, which allows it to operate scheduled flights in European airspace.
