The State’s 95.85% stock package of the “Viorica Cosmetic” company was sold today, June 26, for 51 million lei. According to the director general of the Public Property Agency under the Ministry of Economy Tudor Copaci, the transaction was successful; in 2008, this stock package was launched for sale on the Stock Market, for 32 million lei, but did not get any bids, reports Info-Prim Neo. Tudor Copaci mentioned that in the previous year this enterprise managed a profit of 50,000 lei. The enterprise had to work many more years to even out the profit for which it sold. Tudor Copaci told Info-Prim Neo that the stock package was sold through the broker from Moldova-Agroindbank. In Copaci’s opinion, the buyer is a local investor. If the buyer would have been a foreigner, the sale procedure would have lasted several months. Meanwhile, the head of the Public Property Agency mentioned the this factory still needs massive investments in order to face its competitors on the local market.
