The legend of Moldova’s wine is being transmitted also at the 14th exhibition “Made in Moldova” in which over 20 wine companies, alongside six producers of cognac and bandy, are taking part with a common stand under the country wine brand “Wine of Moldova. A living legend”. Until February 1, 2015, the visitors of the exhibitions center “Moldexpo” in Chisinau will be able to taste Moldovan wine of a high quality, made according to century-old traditions and by implementing the latest innovations in this field. The participation of the wine companies in the most important exhibition of the year was organized by the National Office of Vine and Wine with the support of its strategic partner - USAID CEED II Project, IPN reports.
The Office’s director Dumitru Munteanu said the exhibition “Made in Moldova” represents an important platform for promotion and communication between winemakers, business partners and consumers. “Within this event, the visitors can get rich cultural-cognitive experience and information about the traditions in the Moldovan winemaking sector, can taste wine, cognac and brandy and can familiarize themselves with the high-quality products sold under the Wine of Moldova brand. We are confident that this event will significantly contribute to improving the image of the Moldovan wines here, at home,” he stated.
On the first day of the event, there was held the seminar “Wine of Moldova. A living legend – activities and prospects”, which centered on the promotion of the common brand “Wine of Moldova” in Moldova and abroad, the current activities of the National Office of Vine and Wine and the strategy for stimulating exports and partnerships and for improving winemaking and winegrowing.
A masterclass and wine and cognac tasting events were staged with the participation of experts of the Wine School. More such events will be held the next few days, intended for all those who want to take part.
The National Office of Vine and Wine is a public institution founded based on a public-private partnership to implement policies in the winemaking and winegrowing sector. It was created as a result of a legislative reformation process in the wine industry.
