The State Road Administration distributed 12 special vehicles designed for repairing the roads according to a new technology for stopping up holes to the road maintenance joint stock companies of the country, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to a communiqué from the Ministry of Transport and Road Infrastructure, after the vehicles were handed over, the road workers tested the equipment by stopping up a hole. Transport Minister Anatol Salaru said that during several weeks the road workers will be trained by specialists how to use the new equipment on the national roads. The 12 road maintenance joint stock companies will remain as a result of optimizing the 38 companies existing at present. Until now, one company was responsible for one district, but in the future one company will maintain the roads in two or even three districts. The 12 vehicles were purchased by a public tender contest. One vehicle costs about 900,000 lei. The money was allocated from the Road Fund.
