A number of 126 new infections with COVID-19 were confirmed in Moldova on April 30. All these are local transmission cases, Minister of Health, Labor and Social Protection Viorica Dumbrăveanu stated after the meeting of the Single Command Center, IPN reports.

According to the minister, 878 tests have been performed today. The largest numbers of infections with the novel coronavirus were recorded in Chisinau, the Transnistrian region and Sângerei. The infections with COVID-19 in Moldova came to 3,897 so far, with 2,600 cases being active.

Viorica Dumbrăveanu said two hotbeds of COVID-19 are now active in the healthcare system – the Surgery Section of the Emergency Medicine Institute and the Intensive Care, Maternity and Surgery Section of the Sângerei District Hospital. These sections do not treat patients with COVID-19.
