About 13,000 chickens perished in a fire at a poultry farm in Sadova village of Calarasi district in the evening of March 26. The blaze destroyed about 700 square meters of the farm. The firefighters localized the fire closed to midnight, IPN reports, quoting a communiqué from the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service.

Head of the Calarasi Emergencies Division Vasile Zaharia has told IPN that investigations are carried out on the spot to establish the circumstances of the fire. More details will be provided in several days.

Sources in the Sadova mayor’s office confirmed that the same farm caught fire last December and over 8,000 chickens were killed then.
