1,470 Ukrainian citizens are officially employed in Moldova

Programmer, engineer, doctor, educator or seamstress are among the professions that the over 1,470 Ukrainian citizens employed in the Republic of Moldova have exercised since the beginning of the exceptional situation, IPN reports.

According to data from the National Employment Agency, the majority of employed people are women – slightly over 1,000. Territorially, most of the Ukrainians work in the municipality of Chisinau, which is followed by ATU Gagauzia and Balti at a great distance.

Since the beginning of this year, 122 employers have shown their willingness to employ Ukrainian citizens. They declared over 1,600 vacancies for these people.

The National Employment Agency provides free information on job vacancies, contact details of employers, guidance and employment support to Ukrainian citizens who are registered officially in Moldova. Employers who hired Ukrainian citizens have the obligation to notify the Agency of this within five days of the conclusion of the employment contract.
