Fifteen apiarists from northern districts of Moldova learned how to organize the activity at an apiarian products packing center. In Moldova, such a center exists in Cupcini village of Edinet district. The event was staged within the pilot project implemented by the North Regional Development Agency in partnership with the Ministry of Regional Development and Construction and the Edinet District Council, which is financed by the Government of Romania with over €157,000, IPN reports.
The beekeepers learned from a Romanian expert how to coordinate the technological apiarian products packing process, which are the food safety standards and how to sell and export apiarian products profitably.
The works to repair the bee honey processing and packing center in Cupcini were completed at the beginning of this year. This consists of two departments – an informational and marketing one and a purchase, processing and packing one, which is outfitted with special equipment.
North Regional Development Agency director Ion Bodrug said Romania’s interest in the beekeeping project implemented in northern Moldova increases the chances for this to become a success story that can be reproduced in other regions of the country.
