A girl aged 18 is accused of stabbing an old woman from Mereni 16 times. The woman was found dead in her house destroyed by fire a week ago, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the Prosecutor General’s Office. A criminal case was started over this case. The 12th grader of the Mereni high school was arrested three days after the tragedy. The girl admitted her guilt. She said that she had good relations with the old woman, who had been her teacher for a period. She visited her daily and helped her with the housework. That evening, they quarreled and the old woman told her not to come anymore. Angry, the girl stabbed her to death. The prosecutors ordered performing a psychological-psychiatric assessment. The girl was put under arrest for 30 days.
