A teenager aged 19 died in a road accident not far from Cania village of Cantemir district. The driver of the car in which he travelled as a passenger was speeding and lost control of the vehicle. This left the road and overturned, hitting a drainage ditch. The information was confirmed for IPN by the press officer of the Cantemir Police Division Cristina Ciobanu.
It happened at about 5am this morning. The car was driven by a teen of the same age. He didn’t adjust the speed to the conditions on the road and ignored the road signs.
There were six young people in the car – the driver and five passengers aged between 17 and 19. They were all rushed to the Cantemir District Hospital, but one of them could not be saved. The other passengers suffered minor injuries.
The driver has a license and wasn’t inebriated.
