Another 227 cases of COVID-19 were confirmed in Moldova on July 4 after doing 1,832 tests. One case was imported from Turkey. Of those confirmed with the virus, 12 are healthcare workers, IPN reports, with reference to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection.

Eight persons with COVID-19 succumbed to the disease on July 4. The victims are five men and three women aged between 59 and 88. Among those who died is a family doctor aged 72.

The death toll from COVID-19 now stands at 580.

Moldova has got over 17,000 infections with the novel coronavirus so far. More than 10,000 infected people got cured.
