The laboratory of the National Scientific Practical Center of Preventive Medicine during the first two weeks of this year has confirmed 57 cases of A (H1N1) pandemic influenza of the 254 samples tested. Nine of the infected persons have died, Info-prim Neo reports, quoting the Ministry of Health. According to the Ministry, 24 samples were sent to the laboratory on January 13. The virus was detected in three cases. Ten samples are still being examined. The specialists continue to analyze the epidemiology of the confirmed cases. The people who had been in contact with infected persons are under medical supervision. More than 36,700 persons have been vaccinated against pandemic flu in Moldova by January 11. 25% of the available vaccines have been used.
