A man aged 30 from Orhei district died from the effect of COVID -19. He also suffered from cardiopathy, reactive hepatitis and cardiac insufficiency. The Ministry of Health on November 16 reported 53 deaths associated with SARS-CoV-2, IPN reports.

The same day, there were recorded 977 new cases of COVID-19, eight of which were imported into Moldova. There were performed 7,479 tests and 4,805 of them were rapid ones.

Of the 2,383 persons with COVID-19 who are now in hospitals, 288 are in a very serious condition and 38 of them were put on a ventilator.

Moldova so far got 354,700 cases of COVID-19, while the death toll from the virus stays at 8,500.
