Edelweiss Foundation will give 30,000 lei to the Moldovan student Marian Platonov to reward him for the courage he showed today in critical moments, when a person suffering from mental disorders threaten to explode a bomb at the Iasi University “Alexandru Ioan Cuza”. The young man intervened and immobilized the one who threatened to kill his colleagues and teachers, INP reports.
According to a communiqué from Edelweiss, Marian Platonov’s gesture is an extraordinary one. “His courage makes us, the Moldovan citizens, proud. The 30,000 lei offered by the foundation represents a modest recompense for Marian Platonov, who fully deserves public appreciation and recognition in Moldova and Romania as well,” reads the communiqué.
Edelweiss says it remains faithful to its creed to support the intelligence, effort, generosity and courage wherever they are expressed.
