In 2017 the medical-sanitary institutions contracted by the National Health Insurance Company performed 3,700 cataract operations, by 530 more than a year before, IPN reports, quoting the Company.
Almost 37 million lei was allocated from the mandatory health insurance funds. The average cost of a treated case was 9,800 lei, which includes the price of consumables.
Last year the company signed contracts for the provision of such services with five medical-sanitary institutions.
