Prosecutors accuse a university lecturer from Chisinau of sexually harassing a female student. The girl filed a complaint to the police, saying the lecturer aged 76 has an inappropriate behavior, IPN reports.
According to the Prosecutor General’s Office (PGO), the lecturer told the student she would get a good grade in the discipline he taught if she had sex with him. The girl recorded the discussion with the teacher and presented the recording to the university’s ethics commission, which decided to dismiss the lecturer.
The Human Trafficking Combating Division of the PGO announced that the investigation was completed and the case was sent to the Buiucani District Court. If the lecturer is found guilty of sexual harassment, he will be fined up to 10,000 lei or will be punished with up to 240 hours of community service or up to three years in jail.
