A woman aged 90 living on Vasile Lupu St in Chisinau fell from the second floor of the building where she had her apartment. She was rushed to the hospital with a brain injury, fracture of the skull base and closed fracture of the cervical spine. Efforts to resuscitate her failed. She died shortly after being hospitalized, IPN reports, quoting the website of the National Emergency Medicine Center.

Head of the Chisinau Police Division Adrian Jovmir said the woman lived alone and was sometimes visited by a neighbor. An investigation is under way. The police presume it was a suicide or the women slipped and fell out.
