Academician Andrei Esanu becomes member of honor of Romanian Academy
Academician Andrei Esanu was elected as a member of honor of the Romanian Academy by a unanimous vote at the General Assembly of the Members of the Romanian Academy, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the Academy of Sciences of Moldova.
Vice president of the Romanian Academy Dan Berindei said the research area of Andrei Esanu covers a wide range of problems connected with the history of medieval and modern culture and civilization in Southeastern Europe – international relations and policy, military history of the Country of Moldova in the 14th – 19th centuries, urban medieval and modern civilization and history, ecclesiastical and spiritual culture and history, etc.
Academician Mihai Cimpoi, who is a member of honor of the Romanian Academy, said that Andrei Esanu was presented as a prodigious researcher with many important studies, who is considered a valuable researcher.
Andrei Esanu is a member of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova and senior researcher at the Academy’s Institute of History, State and Law.
