Academician Gheorghe Țîbîrnă gets Government’s award “Remarkable Inventor”

The Moldovan Government’s award “Remarkable Inventor” this year was conferred on academician Gheorghe Țîbîrnă, habilitated doctor of medical sciences, oncologist and sturgeon, professor of the State University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Nicolae Testemiţanu”. The prize was handed over in the award ceremony of the 17th international specialized exhibition “Infoinvent” that was held online, IPN reports, quoting the Academy of Sciences of Moldova.

Gheorghe Țîbîrnă is an oncological scientist with prodigious work in research and development and with 32 patents in medicine. He noted this success is not only his, but also of his mates with whom he has worked at the Oncological Institute for over 50 years and of his colleagues from the Academy of Sciences of Moldova.

Over 400 inventions, unique innovative projects were displayed virtually as part of the exhibition. The expert commission and the jury awarded 130 gold medals, 80 silver medals and 80 bronze medals and also trophies, diplomas and honorable mentions.
