Colleges and vocation schools started to admit students on July 1. More than 8,000 places are available at colleges, 4,700 of which are budget-funded ones. The vocational schools provide another about 12,000 places. Only 300 places are on a contract basis there. The others are funded from the budget.
Contacted by IPN, the head of the Education Ministry’s Vocational Education Division Octavian Vasilachi said the admission contest will be based on the average annual grades in the subjects of the specialty and the average grade in the graduation exams.
The candidates must file the diploma, a medical certificate, the copy of their identity card and of the identity card of one of the parents, the recruit’s card and, if necessary, the Baccalaureate diploma. The diplomas won in Olympiads, contest and festivals will also be taken into account.
To colleges, the applications can be submitted between July 1 and July 31. The results will be made public by August 3. If the provided places are not filled, a new admission contest will be held between August 5 and August 8. The results will be announced by August 10.
The vocational schools will accept applications in two stages. The first stage will take place between July 1 and August 10 and the results will be made known by August 15. The second stage will be held on August 15 – 20, while the results will be posted by August 25, 2013.
In Moldova there are 46 colleges and 66 vocational schools.
