Minister of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment Liviu Volconovici in a working meeting instructed to work out a project proposal for efficiently managing waste in the municipality of Balti, IPN reports, with reference to the a press release of the Ministry. The official said immediate actions should be taken to avoid epidemiological problems and to protect the health of the people living in the region.

“It is serious when the people suffer because of the divergences between the local authorities. There are misunderstandings between the local authorities of Balti municipality and of Bilicenii Noi and Tambula communes, including with the business entity that is responsible for waste collection. We cannot allow the personal interests to affect the life of the community,” stated the minister.

Those attending the working meeting agreed to immediately formulate a proposal for efficiently managing waste in Balti municipality and to submit it to the Cabinet.
