The flights that will be operated by Air Moldova from Moldova during May 22-28 will transport only persons who have residence visas and stay permits in the counties to which they intend to travel. The passengers should also check all the imposed travel or entry restrictions with the authorities of the state to which they intend to travel or that they intend to transit. If these restrictions are not obeyed, the airline reserves the right not to accept the passenger onboard. The announcement was posted on the company’s official website in the morning of May 20, IPN reports.
Restrictions were also imposed on flights to the Republic of Moldova. Only Moldovan citizens, members of their families, persons who have a long-stay visa and a stay permit or a document equivalent to the stay permit issued by the authorities, persons who travel for professional purposes and have confirmative documents, members of diplomatic missions and consular offices accredited to Moldova, of international organizations/missions and the members of their families or persons who can ensure humanitarian aid will be accepted as passengers of flights to Moldova.
In order to prevent the spread of COVID-19, additional protection measures will be taken on all the flights operated by the company. All the passengers of the flights operated by Air Moldova in the period are asked to mandatorily wear disposable masks and gloves.
Another airline operating in Moldova, Flyone, earlier announced that given the restrictions imposed by each country on the operated destinations, all the flights during May 16, 2020 - May 31, 2020 will be suspended. The flights will be resumed gradually, according to the restriction relaxation plans of each country, presumably beginning with June 2020.
For passengers who purchased tickets for this period, the airline proposes three options: free change of date for the same destination until December 31, 2020, voucher equal in value to the initial price of the ticket and refunding according to the tariff rules.
Flyone is cooperating with the competent authorities of each destination country and will promptly inform about the resumption of flights based on the permission given by the authorities for each of the destinations.
