The tender process to lease commercial spaces at the Chisinau International Airport, launched in May, has been suspended following the Constitutional Court ruling handed down two days ago, the Airport administration announced.
The decision to suspend the process was taken by the Airport’s Tender Commission. “The resumption of the tender process will be decided with the adoption of the amendments to the Law on the administration and denationalization of public property, which are needed to create conditions for leasing commercial spaces for a term longer than 3 years, reasonable for an international partnership”, the Airport said.
The extension of the lease term for commercial spaces at the Airport from 3 to 5 years was declared unconstitutional following an appeal by the Bloc of Communists and Socialists.
