Aliona Moon, Moldova’s representative at Eurovision this year, commenced the promotional tour. Romania is the first country where she will give concerts, IPN reports.
On April 8, Aliona Moon will go on a four-day tour of Romania. Afterward, she will visit the Netherlands, Belarus, Ukraine, and Russia. Artistic producer Pasha Parfeny told a news conference on April 5 that the promotion in these countries will center more on TV programs than on concerts as this is an easier and more efficient way.
The video of the song “One thousand” will be filmed on April 18-28. A CD with the song in Romanian and Russian will be launched at the start of May. As a result of a poll, it was decided that Aliona Moon will sing the Romanian version of the song. Pasha Parfeny said he cannot reveal details about the stage setting, but they will develop the ideas presented at the National Final.
A campaign themed “One thousand lights to the moon” was launched to promote the song. Within it, lampions were released into the sky in Chisinau. Pictures of the event will be used for the promotional video. The event will be repeated in another 10-15 towns of the world with a view to mobilizing the Moldovan diaspora to vote for Moldova’s participant in Eurovision.
Aliona Moon will sing in the first Eurovision semifinal in Malmo, Sweden. Romania will compete in the second semifinal. Thus, mutual voting in the semifinals will be impossible.
