Nearly 9,000 people have paid the compulsory health insurance premium in fixed amount so far this year. The premium will remain 4,056 lei until the Law on Mandatory Health Insurance Funds for 2015 is adopted. The reductions of 50% and 75% are also valid in the period, IPN reports.
The National Health Insurance Company said over 6,000 of all the payers benefitted from a 50% reduction in the value of the premium. These included founders of private companies, lessees, lessors and other persons who do not work and aren’t insured by the Government and pay 2,028 lei for the health policy. The premium can be paid at post offices or local health insurance agencies.
Another about 2,500 persons, who own farmland, benefitted from the 75% reduction in the premium and paid 1,014 lei at local health insurance agencies.
When the Law on Mandatory Health Insurance Funds for 2015 takes effect, the premium will be paid in accordance with the new provisions.
