Another post of Supervisory Board member falls vacant
The Broadcasting Coordination Council (BCC) announced a contest to fill a vacancy on the Supervisory Board of the national public broadcaster Teleradio-Moldova, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The post fell vacant after Tudor Tataru tendered his resignation. The Board's chairman Eugeniu Rybka stated earlier for Info-Prim Neo that Tudor Tataru was absent from 10 meetings. He resigned on his own initiative.
The applications can be filed to the BCC within 15 days of the publication of the decision in the Official Gazette. The Council will select two candidates who are to be examined by Parliament. The legislative body will chose the suitable candidate at the suggestion of the relevant parliamentary commission.
Earlier, the BCC held a contest to select candidates for another two posts on the Supervisory Board, vacated by Mariana Slapac, whose term in office expired, and Igor Munteanu, who was named as Moldova's Ambassador to the U.S. The legislature has not yet confirmed two of the candidates in posts.
The Supervisory Board consists of nine members who hold office for a four-year-period. Eugeniu Rybka, Viorica Cucereanu, Raisa Lozinschi, Viorica Mesina-Prodan, Aurelia Peru-Balan and Vitalie Tapes became members of the Board in December 2009.
