Antena C radio receives bomb threat
A nameless man on Sunday called the Chisinau-based radio station Antena C and said a bomb could explode in the radio's building.
“Antena C has been receiving threatening phone calls since February. The threats have intensified especially after the first election campaign and peaked with yesterday's call, made at 19:57 by an anonymous man who said a bomb might explode in the station's building”, Mihai Ciobanu, the radio's vice director, told reporters on Monday.
He added that the radio's management informed the General Prosecutor's Office.
“The call was taped; it was a male voice. The first anonymous threat call was made in February, and then in May, July, by the same voice”, said Ciobanu, adding that the caller was apparently disgruntled by corruption reports aired by the station.
