The National Anticorruption Center (NAC) started today, August 14, the verification of public officials' professional integrity. The subjects of the testing will be chosen according to identified risks and vulnerabilities to corruption, IPN reports.
According to a CNA press release, the investigators will work under cover. If the tested officials fail, a report for disciplinary sanctions will be submitted within 10 days. The sanction can be appealed by the official in an administrative court.
CNA sent notifications to about 1000 public institutions informing their employees, against their signatures, that they shall be subjected to testing.
